Zella (Moochie) Everett

Zella (Moochie) Everett gained her wings on Wednesday July 13, 2022. Zella was one of 11 children born on March 22,1960 to the late Thomas C and Lola Victoria Everett in Albany, NY. Zella was educated in the Albany Public School District, and she graduated from Street Academy. Zella worked many years in the housekeeping industry.

Zella was predeceased by her parents Thomas C & Lola Victoria Everett, husband Herman Harris; sister Sylvia Everett; four brothers Alfred, Johnnie, Jolly, and Thomas (Bo) Everett; two brothers-in-law, Ruben (Sonny) Pugh, and Walker Mullins both from Albany, NY.

Zella (Moochie) leaves to cherish her memory her four sisters, Myra Coleman-Pugh, Luretha (Ree) Mullins, Bernice (Peachie) Everett all of Albany, NY; and Vera Ramey (Thurston) of Malta, NY; Two brothers Havie Everett and Jeffrey (Man) Everett both of Albany, NY.; Sister- in- law Anne Terrell; J.T. Tibbs who was her dedicated companion for many years; one God-son Jermayne Timmons of Albany, NY. Also, to cherish Moochie’s memory are a host of nieces and nephews who fondly named her their “Second Mother”, uncles, aunts and cousins who loved her tremendously.

Moochie was the life of any party and was always willing to help her family and friends. She had a smile that would light up the room. Moochie loved wearing her red lipstick and would put it on for any picture she took. Zell will be missed greatly but will be in our hearts forever.
