Tusheila Ann Thompson, unexpectedly passed away at home on Saturday, May 23, 2026. She was born on February 4, 1953 in Albany, NY to David and Lillie Mae Williams. She was educated in the Albany City School District and graduated from Albany High School. Tusheila was a devoted wife for 52 years to Jesse C. Thompson Jr.. Out of their union, they were blessed with three children. Traveling with her husband for military assignments led her to work part time with the Department of Defense during her time overseas. After returning to Albany she was employed by SUNY Albany until she retired.
She was married to Jesse C. Thompson Jr. 52 years together They had three children Martise William (Deceased), Jesse C. Thompson III, Austin Durr. She traveled many places during her husband military assignments she worked part time with the dept. of defense and later returned to Albany, NY and went on to work at Albany SUNY University before retiring.
Tusheila enjoyed decorating her home, giving gifts, cooking and spending time with her family. Her favorite things to do with family were atted cookouts and enjoy the holidays with Christmas being her favorite one. Some of Tusheila's favorite hobbies were Bingo, going to the casino, and crossword puzzles. Known to those who loved her for whit some of favorite sayings were: "Only a Mule and a Fool"; Take a Salt Tablet " "Ain't you lying?" and if some news was to be announced, she would say "N**a News".
Left to cherish her memory and continue her legacy are her husband Jesse C. Thompson Jr. of Rensselaer, her sons Jesse C. Thompson III (Michelle) of Troy, and Austin Durr of Schenectady; siblings Annette Jackson of Loudonville, Lee Williams of Albany, and Danny Williams of Colonie; grandchildren, Kahlil, James and Joshua Belland, Elliana Durr, Taesean Goodwin and Dejhona Hill; six great grandchildren; sisters in law Eva A. Williams, Melinda Burton, Brenda Graham, Keshia Thompson and Jestine Thompson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents David and Lillie Mae Williams, daughter Martise D Williams, brothers Gary Williams and David Williams jr, her sisters Loretta Gaddy, Rita (Irving) Randolph, and Ernestine (James) Venable.
