JOURNEY THROUGH LIFE
Throughout Terry’s childhood and his development into a young adult, his scholastic rearing was accomplished in the Troy City School District, School 14 and Troy High, where he received his High School Diploma. He furthered his education at Hudson Valley Community College.
Terry was employed at BASF (25 years), Organ hemic Corp, until his retirement, after which he was employed at the Greyhound Bus Station (part-time).
Terry had such a loving, kind, gentle and humble spirit. He had a mind like an elephant. He could and would talk to you about YOUR family, who’s who, dates of weddings, birthdays, funerals, anyone’s age, how many were/are in the family, where they were born, parent’s maiden name, etc. He was a very knowledgeable historian of the families in Troy.
Terry was such a genuine husband, father, son, brother, cousin, uncle, nephew, and friend. He was very close to his family members and enjoyed every opportunity to attend family gatherings, especially the family reunions, picnics, graduations and birthdays.
Terry’s most enjoyable moments were when he was in church and singing with HIS male chorus. Look out 5th Avenue when he led a song. Terry ‘s social life was best spent with his fellas, either playing cards or loudly conversing about whatever game the fellas were watching on TV. Terry was predeceased by his mother Rosa Lee Reid Frierson .
Terry leaves to cherish his memory: His loving wife of 17 years (Lorraine), his father (Isiah), his 3 children (Tarryck, Tyrone and Trevor Frierson), his 3 stepchildren (Minister Damion/Nikya Walker), (Deson/Shelley Walker) and Rhonda G. Brown), 2 sisters (Roslyn Diane/Jerome Pompey and Jaquetta Treece), 2 brothers (Truman and Allan Frierson), sister and brother-in-law (Rhonda/Jerome Brown) and sister-in-law (Gail/Katrina Baird) and a host of nieces, great nieces, nephews, great nephews, cousins and one aunt, Lila Crawford (Aunt Doll).
