Stephen M. Drake "Buck"

Stephen M. Drake, 55 of Albany, suddenly passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021. Buck graduated from high school in 1986. He spent most of his life in Albany. Growing up, he attended the Albany Boys and Girls Club on Delaware Avenue, playing basketball and other activities while enjoying the summers at Camp Thatcher. He did various jobs including landscaping and rehabilitation of houses for years. Buck is survived by two children: son Stephen M. Drake II and grandson Jayden Drake and daughter Monet Sharae Drake, all of Albany. Buck is also survived by his mother Maria C. Drake of Albany; two brothers, James (Terry) Beverly, and Albert Beverly of Albany; nieces, Shonya Elliot of Albany, Brianna Grimes of Schenectady, Ashanta Scott of Kentucky, Xiomarra Beverly and Lenamarie Spencer of South Carolina; six great-nieces, three great-nephews, and a host of other dear family and friends.
