Rosa Mae Harris departed this life on Thursday January 21, 1938. Rosa was born the third child to Mother Grace Harris and Deacon Joe Harris.
Rosa was a member of the Oakland Baptist Church of Savannah, GA. She was educated in the Savannah public school and after graduation Rosa was employed by Sterling Winthrop and Albany Medical Center, central supply department where is she retired from. Rosa was a member of Wilborn Temple C.O.G.I.C. where she was a faithful member of the choir at Wilborn Temple Church. She was devoted daughter, sister, aunt and godmother to her family and friends. Rosa will be lovingly remembered by her two sisters Mother Dorothy E. Woodard, Sister Carolyn Clay, and her brother William Harris all of Albany, NY. Rosa was per-deceased by her father Deacon Joe Harris, her mother Mother Grace Harris, her brothers Joe Harris Jr., Willie Harris, her Sister Rebecca Harris, and goddaughter Sonja Smith.
Sister Rosa Harris is survived by: her sister's Mother Dorothy E. Woodard and Sister Carolyn Clay, Brother William Harris. Her godchildren: Brittany Stinson and Kyle Darren. Her special children: Danaun Harris, Lenise Darren and Dwight Woodard. Sister Harris is survived by nine nieces and nephews, Charlayne Woodard Harris (Alan) of Los Angeles, CA Alkaline Woodard, Lisha Anderson (Robert) of Lancaster, PA, Jolene Woodard, Alfred Dwight Woodard (Nina), Danaun Harris (Lisa) of Lancaster, PA, Sherry Gordon (Charles) of Atlanta,GA, Tenille Nieckarz (John), Kaila Stinson, Jordan Davenport, William Allan Davenport III and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
