Reginald “reggie" kornegay was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He departed this world unexpectedly on July 29,2021 due to an illness. He was 53 years old. Reggie as he was affectionately known was born to Mildred and Adolph Kornegay(both deceased) on March 27,1968 in Brooklyn NY. He was their youngest son. He was raised in Queens, New York attending Shimer Middle School as well as Benjamin Cardoza High school. Despite encountering some challenges, Reggie would ultimately earn his General Education Diploma. Reggie relocated to Watervillet, New York where he was employed by the U.S. army Watervliet Arsenal. Reggie was also employed with Ashline Movers. During his life, Reggie worked odd jobs to support his family and loved ones. Reggie had many trials and tribulations throughout his life as many of us often do. He was lovingly imperfect. He cared deeply not only for his own family but also his extended family and friends. Reggie had a special place in his heart for the elderly volunteering his time to help others. Reggie was a man of great humor. He would often quote “no smoke for you". Simply put Reggie was an extremely humble man. Reggie is survived by his siblings Karen “Munchie", Tami ,Theodore"Teddy Bear",Nicole“Nikki, Mary “Pebbles" and Venus. His children Belinda,Reginald Jr,Miguel,Terrell Joseph and Jahniya Victoria. He also had one grandchild. Reggie is survived by host of nieces,nephews,cousins and friends. Reggie is finally at peace reunited with those who proceeded him including his parents, sister Cassandra(Sandy) , and brother’s Zachary(red) and Anthony (“Tony”),his wife Belinda and his longtime companion Marie.He may no longer be with us in body but Reggie will be embedded in our hearts forevermore.
