Nathan Lee Harris was born on August 5th 1954 in White plains, NY. He was raised by the Late Burt and Annie Hunter.
At an early Nathan give his life to Christ and was baptized at Gethsemane Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Taft Miller . While attending Gethsemane Baptist Church, Nathan was an active member of the Junior Usher Board.
Nathan also sang in a choir called The Gospel Chorus #2 and he was the President and director of the choir . He attended William Howard Taft High School then in 1972 went on to serve in the U.S Navy.
He wore many hats in his lifetime. His favorites, being a father and loving brother. He was a proud member of 5th Ave church in Troy, NY and he was best known for his strong faith and dedication to god. If you had a trial or tribulation, he had a scripture.
You could always catch him making the best of any and every situation and being the light during your darkness. Nathan was always known for his 3 piece suits and the way he treated every event as if he was attending the red carpet. Nathan enjoyed spending time with those he loved and spreading positivity to everyone he crossed paths with . Nathan put up a good fight with Prostate cancer but he gained his wings peacefully on March 12th, 2025 .
Nathan leaves behind 3 successful children Nathan Harris Jr. Naesha Harris and Naquan Harris whom he took in. Sisters Renee Clement & Gwendeloyn Harris. Brother Lamont Harris & brother through love Stephen Foster. Grand Children Zy'kiera Evans, Nautika Harris, Trey Harris and Enai Harris. Great grandchildren : Jaliyah Evans & Ah'Laja Williams. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Nathan is predeceased by his foster parents annie & burt hunter . He will be missed.
