Ms. Yvonne Love

Yvonne Love was born the fourth daughter of the late Jewel and Grace Love on January 6, 1952 in Albany, New York. Her birthday was twelve days after Christmas, which is commonly celebrated as the Day the Three Wise Men visited our Lord & Savior. So, it was no surprise that the Christmas Holiday was her favorite time of year. 

During her lifetime, she became affectionately known as “Bun Bun” thanks to her older sister Deloris. She was a faithful member of Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. Yvonne was educated in Albany Public School System and worked with the NYS Office of Temporary Disability Assistance, the NYS Office of Tax & Finance and the Capital Repertory Theatre.  However, her proudest joy was being a mother to her two children, Kariem & Selina from her marriage to the late William Graham.  

Yvonne was a social butterfly that spread her wings and opened her house to many family members and friends. She never met a stranger because she enjoyed speaking to everyone. She hosted the best cookouts, and her potato salad was top notch. Her hobbies included making floral arrangements, cooking, shopping and telling the background stories of old photos- she collected. 

Our Beloved now joins her parents Jewel and Grace Love; and two older sisters Jeweldean Howard-Thomas and Gertrude Winbush. She leaves to mourn her Children: Kariem Graham and Selina Graham; Grandchildren: Kori & Camille Dobbs, Quinton Graham, Essence Myles; Sisters and 1 Brother: Deloris Shepperd, Joyce Love (Merton Simpson), Gwendolyn Love, Regina Love-Belle (Bertie), Patricia Hodnett (Marvin), Edward Love; God Children; Mary Ellis, Marteika Ellis, Kyesha Brown, Tashiem Stratton Jr. & Jamia Noisette and a host of loved ones in her extended and bonus families: Howard, Kelly, Bickley, Joseph, Tillery, Black, Clay, Jones, Washington, Collington and a host of nieces and nephews.
