Ms. Mary Lee Carr

Mary Lee Carr passed away peacefully on Thursday May 30th, 2024, at the age of 66, with her family by her side. She was born on April 20th, 1958, to the late Jimmy Carr and Georgia Harvey Carr and she was the only child.
Mary received some of her education in the Albany City School System and Providence, Rhode Island where she resided and called home. While there she held a job in the nursing field and she continued that for many years, before moving back to Schenectady NY about thirteen years ago. Mary had a love for old-school music, and she very much enjoyed playing spades and pitty pat with family and friends. She also loved her grandchildren and spending time with family. Mary will be remembered by her eight children: Yusas Carr, Ashona Pulliam, Carlyle Pulliam Jr., Malieak Carr, Mckinley Carr, Solomon Carr, Amar Carr (Harrison) and Georgina Carr (Harrison) her longtime companion Gary Grimes and twelve grandchildren and a host of cousins and all she considered to be her nieces and nephews and friends.
Preceding her in death were her grandchildren; Alana Rose, Carlyle Harris, her cousins which she considered to be brothers, Artist Whitfield, Chris Carver, and Gregory Johnson.
   
Mary will be remembered as a mother, grandmother and friend and a woman who loved to laugh and have fun.
