Mrs. Freddie Foulks Obituary

Freddie Mae Foulks entered eternal rest, February 18, 2023 at St. Peters Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She took flight #218, boarding gate 4612. She was cleared for take-off at approximately 1:40 P.M. to her heavenly destination; with a final prayer from Pastor Solomon Dees.

Freddie Mae was born August 9, 1941 in Albany, NY . She was preceded in death by her parents Alma Louise Parson & Fred McCann and her siblings Zellawee, Rose "Bootsie", Geraldine "Gerri", Frances, Jesse, Chester "Junior", Edward "Eddie" and Curtis.

Freddie was educated in the Albany City School System. She then became a daycare provider, raising her whole family and last worked as a Senior supervisor for the Albany City Parks and Recreations Summer Youth Program. She retired at the age of 65 while continuing her hobby of floral arrangements by her own design.

She met and married the love of her life Charles E. Foulks Sr(deceased) on November 2, 1957. They would've been married for 64 years; out of their loving union they had 5 Children She leaves to cherish in her memory, Glinda Foulks, Charles E. Foulks Jr. (deceased; Jennifer), Prince Aliek Allah (Latisha), Kirk Foulks(Simone), Geraldine "June" Foulks (Daniel); Her in laws , Betty Scott, Minnie "Sissy"  Foulks & James "Boo"  Foulks. She also leaves a host of grand, great grand & great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends

Freddie lived a full and productive life and was loved by all that knew her. She was the kind of mother that had seniority and AUTHORITY of any given situation. She loved to dance, garden and cook for her family. She enjoyed listening to gospel, watching her "stories" and collecting her candles. She was a loyal member of Wilborn Temple C.O.G.I.C  for over 20 years. Spreading light and love where ever she went.


Freddie was a devoted wife, mother, grand, great grand & great great grandmother. She also leaves a host, nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. She was honarable, giving and loving and most of all truthful. She will truly be missed. ❤️
