Obituary
Yking D. Cooks Sr., 46 of Amsterdam NY passed away on June 28, 2023. He was born on June 21, 1977, in Bronx, NY. Yking was a hardworking individual who was dedicated to his family. He had a deep love for the NY Yankees and Buffalo Bill's.
Yking is survived by his partner of 14 years, Kayla Tortorello. His oldest two daughters, Kateland Cooks (22), and Grace Cooks (19) and their children Yking Cooks Jr. (13) Alyanna Cooks (12) and Kristion Tortorello (15). His mother Maryann Cooks and Father Larry Martin His sibling Shakina Martin, Barry Martin Timothy Cooks and Tracy Martin, Also his 19 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Maegan Burlingame.
Throughout his career, Yking worked at Baptist Nursing Home as a Certified Nursing Assistant for almost 20 years. His commitment to his caring for others was evident in his work.
Yking Cooks Sr. Will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and those whose lives he touched. May he rest in peace.
