PHILLIP LEE WALKER
June 7, 1955 – September 9, 2023
Phillip Lee Walker was born June 7, 1955 in Aliquippa, PA to the late Lee Edward and Marlene Tyson Walker. He departed this life after a brief illness on September 9, 2023.
Phillip grew up in Aliquippa, PA and he received his education from the Midland High School. He also attended the University of Pittsburgh.
In 1984, Phillip relocated to Albany, NY. Here he found employment as a salesman at Montgomery Ward & Company and later Bordon’s Scandinavian Furniture Company. Phillip also was employed by various hospitals and nursing homes thoughout the Capital Region as a Certified Nurse Assistant.
Also, in his later years, Phillip would occasionally attend the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church along with his brother, Samuel.
Phillip was a high-spirited person who expressed this during his favorite past time watching football, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Phillip was preceeded in death by his parents, Lee Edward and Marlene Tyson Walker; foster parents Adam and Sadie Campbell; brother, Derick Walker; and brother-in-law, James Spencer.
Phillip leaves to cherish his memory his children, son, Adam Walker (Albany, NY); daughters, Amber Walker (Albany, NY) and Shanice Marie Walker (Albany, NY); his sisters, Debra Walker (NC) and Tonya Spencer Walker (CA); brothers, Deacon Samuel J. Walker (Michelle), (Albany, NY) and Virgil Wilson Walker (PA); and grandchildren, Santana and Sarai Henderson; special loving friend, Fran Wilson; as well as cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
