Maurice L. Jackson, Jr (K-Bar)
Sunrise - July 8, 1970 Sunset - February 28, 2024
Maurice L. Jackson, Jr. (affectionately known as K-Bar) was born in Albany, NY to Maurice L. Jackson, Sr., and Lucille Crawford Jackson on July 8, 1970. He was their only son. He completed his early childhood education in the Albany City School District. He later attended Russell Sage College, where he graduated and received a degree in Business Management. Maurice had multiple jobs. He was a Sous Chef and manager. He worked very hard and had many odd jobs. Maurice was a devoted father to his children, no matter what obstacle he faced. Maurice always made time for his children; they were his #1 priority, and he made sure they knew it. K-Bar also loved his electronics. He always had the latest gadgets. If you see him, you also see one of his electric bikes or something new that he picked up. K-Bar loved to dress. His style was like no other. When K-Bar entered the room, all eyes would be on him. He always made sure he was well coordinated. From the matching red shirt to the hat. Oh, yeah, the shoes had to be red, too. Even the pants had red stitching going down the sides. Whenever he entered a club or family party, he would shut the room down with his style and finesse. He will forever be loved and missed.
Maurice leaves to cherish his memory his mother Lucille Crawford Jackson, his father Maurice L. Jackson, Sr., his children Kadija Turner, Aileen, Alaiyaha Love, Zanyla Jackson, Zahire Jackson, Uallah Jackson and Zamorah; his sister Maureen Jackson; one grandchild Malakai Goodbee; goddaughter Ka’Ur; special niece Danesha Graham; special friends Olivia, Malayasia, Tamara, and Tracy. He was predeceased in death by his beloved sister Donna Jackson, his niece Naraizah Graham, his grandparents, seven uncles and two aunts.
K-Bar’s Quote:
In life, you have to give 100%, because 99 an a half won’t do.
