Mr. Archie E. Jones

Archie E. Jones, 87 of Albany, NY was called to the pearly gates of heaven early morning of April 11, 2024, under the care of River-Ridge Living Center. Archie was born on April 29,1936 in Oxford, Mississippi to the Late Elijah and Jettie Oliver Jones. Archie was the family patriarch being the last of his eight siblings to be laid to rest. Shortly after an honorable discharge Archie followed family and relocated to Albany, NY.

Archie is predeceased by wife Sylvia Jones along with his eight siblings Lillie-Mae, Joe, Frank, Bessie, James, Bob, Sam & John. Survived by Daughter Jennell Jones, Son Jerrick Jones, Stepson William Fantroy, Sr.  Grandsons Charles Leigh III, DeAnte Moore, William Fantroy, Jr. Granddaughter Kandace Fantroy, Great-Granddaughter Riylyn Leigh-McBride & Great- Grandson Jayden Fantroy.  Archie shared special bonds with his first Grandson Charles Leigh III, nephews Willy Thomas, Eddie Jones, Frank, Jr., Larry Cook & Great Friend Theodore Johnson. Nieces Late Jewel Cook, Mae Thompson, Gladys Van Dyke, Gloria Jones, Louise Clark, & Cousins Alice Wright & Chevelle Moore Jones.  Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, family, friends and extended family of St. John Church of in Christ.
