Melvin Welch Jr.

Melvin Welch Jr. was born May 16,1982 to Jessica Belle Hoffman London-Williams  and Melvin Welch Sr. (A.K.A “Slim”) here in upstate New York.

He was raised by his loving grandmother, Inez Welch since he was a baby, one of many grandchildren who attended school in Hudson, N.Y.

Melvin Jr. was a loving father who would give you the shirt off his back to help anyone he could and oftentimes checked in on his father, “Slim”. He was always close by family and will be greatly missed by all who loved him. He enjoyed fishing, working on cars, doing independent odd contracting jobs and spending time with his entire family and friends.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Aaron Joseph Brevoort and Lee Marvin Welch. Melvin Welch Jr. and Lee Marvin Welch shared a very close bond growing up and thereafter. They were known together through family as grandma Welch’s, “Mongol Brothers”, now together in Paradise.

He leaves to mourn, his father, Melvin Welch Sr., his mother, Jessica Belle Hoffman London-Williams and stepmother, Melinda Welch; two brothers: Desona Welch (A.K.A “Onion”), Christopher Secor; four sisters: Rose Secor McCaul, Sheila (A.K.A “Joy Ann” London, Paula Carlsen, Laura Ann Carlsen; three sons: Fabian Matthew Welch, Aaron Welch, Jaden Welch and one daughter, Jaylyne Welch.

As well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones. And his best friend, “Lucky” and dear friend, “Strawberry”! He will truly be missed…Gone but never forgotten in our hearts.
