Marquis “Man” Bell, Jr. departed this life suddenly on May 5, 2022. He was the son of Nyasja Brown and Marquis Bell, Sr. Marquis (aka) “Man” got the name from his great-grandmother Jean Little who proceeded him in death. She loved her Man, now they are together again.
Marquis was educated in the Albany Public School System. He held various jobs from his first as a camp counselor to deli clerk. The most important job and the one that made him happy was being a FATHER. Marquis was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and friend. He would do anything for you and would give the shirt off his back.
Marquis was proceeded in death by his daughter Naveah Bell; brother Fontaine Bell; paternal grandparents Jean and Henry Little, Sr.; grandfathers Isaac Brown, Sr. and Rudolph Williams; and uncle Isaac Brown, Jr.
Marquis leaves to cherish his memory his sons Marquis, III and Jah’Quis Bell; daughters Taveah Bell and Atirah Williams; his parents Nyasja Brown and Marquis(Cynthia) Bell, Sr.; sisters Shykila Bell, Ny-jah Bell and Marqui’ Bell; brother Ralph Shastany; nieces Shymarie Bell and Naveah Bell; nephew Shykier Wooden; maternal grandmother Sandra Williams; paternal grandparents Tonia Little-Afritie and James Bell; aunts Betty Little, Sonya Kirkley and Veda Bell; uncles Samuel Ford and Henry Little, Jr.
Marquis also leaves his brothers Matt Kinner, Matt Armao, Chris Waters and David Lewitinn; and a host of family and friends whom all LOVED him dearly.
