Lucille E. Parker
Lucille E. Parker (Lucy) was born on December 19, 1959, in Albany, NY. She was the daughter of Dillard M. Parker, Sr. and the Late Nellie V. Parker (Bennekin). Lucille was named after her father’s late sister Lucille (Parker) Williams. She is the widow of the late Robert L. Blanchard.
Lucille attended Albany High School and finished her primary studies at Albany Job Corp., then on to JCA, where she studied Liberal Arts. She worked in retail until she became disabled.
Lucille is a native of Arbor Hill in the city of Albany. Later, she moved to Morton Avenue where she became a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Lucille was a loving caring person, who would help anyone in need. She enjoyed music (Prince/Jill Scott/Earth, Wind and Fire), dancing, writing, cultural arts and being surrounded by her family and friends, whom she truly loved. She was also an avid bowler and enjoyed the Casino and Saratoga Racetrack. She lived her life to the fullest and she encouraged others to do the same.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her father Dillard M. Parker, Sr., 4 sisters Patricia Hodges (Gregory), Denise Walker (Rachid), Loreene Parker, Ruth Verbal, 3 brothers Dillard Jr., Walter and Andre Parker, a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, friends and life-long friends Elaine Austin and Brenda Rowlett.
