Kalif, known by Rashad, gained his wings on May 26th, 2023. He grew up in Troy, NY but recently moved to Rensselaer, NY. Rashad attended Troy City schools and graduated from Troy High School in 2011. He also attended a culinary program at the College of St. Rose, where he received a certificate of completion.
Rashad loved music and he loved to sing and dance. He enjoyed classic R&B such as Al Green and Marvin Gaye. He also loved Gospel music such as Lee Williams. He was affectionately known in the church community as “choir boy.” He sung ‘Cooling Water’ and had a signature ‘dip’ that all who seen him perform would be waiting for.

His sisters, Kemeisha (Shawn) Pounds and Shiquinta Wheatley of Rensselaer, NY. His niece, who he called ‘uncle’s baby’, Kalissia Brown. Cousins but more like siblings, Dashon Willis of Brooklyn, NY, Jaquasia Willis of Troy, NY and Kertrice Willis of Philmont, NY. Aunts, Debra Mcpherson of Hudson, NY and Victoria Venable of Schenectady, NY. Uncles, Corey B Allah Willis of South Carolina, Carlyle (Jeanette) Pulliam Sr and Maurice Fitzgerald of Albany, NY.
