Ida Mae (Landy) Staley entered eternal life on September 12, 2020. She was born on May 10, 1939 to the late Henderson and Lonnie B. Landy in Wagner South Carolina. She was educated in the Wagner school system. Ida was joined in marriage to the late Eugene Staley and from that union she had a daughter. Later in life she would adopt two sons
Ida, with her family, migrated to Albany, NY in the 1960s. She retired, as a Housekeeping Supervisor, from Albany Medical Center after thirty- three years of employment.
She enjoyed life, loved her family and was loved by her family.This is my story This is my song Praising my savior All the day long
Cherishing memories of her life are: her daughter Aramae Staley; sons, Tyrone and Mel Staley; sisters, Henrietta Hines and Deaconess Inez Cade; brothers, John (Beverly) Landy, Deacon Klenton (Denise) Landy Sr., Clint (Dorothy) Landy; grandchildren Zorrion and Jalin Staley, great grandchildren Zorrion Jr, Zamir and Zakai Staley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was predeceased by brothers, Henderson Landy Jr., Welton Landy, Joseph Landy, Luther Landy and her sisters Ester Allen and Catherine Landy.To get a reward, she fought the fight and kept the faith.Her soul is gone to God. She is shouting around the throne.We are left to morn, but someday we will meet again,Where parting will be no more.
