Howard Louise Jones was called to the Lord on December 5, 2025. He was a devoted husband, father, provider, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
Howard Louise Jones was married to Jennifer Jones, with whom he shared a life and raised seventeen children: Corey Carmon, Latoya Carmon, Howard Jones, Jr., Sophia Jones, Hannah Casey, Felicia Jones, Lateacha Jones, Shaquanna Jones, Shanntea Jones, Dayshawn Jones, Jennifer Jones (Jr.), Kadisha Jones, Joshua Jones, Keyon Jones, Tykeam Jones and Keytara Jones. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mya Jones. He is survived by his sisters, Gail Jones, Christine Jones, Gloria Morris, and Denise Hamilton; and his brothers, Richard Jones, Hubert Jones and David Morris. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Catherine Jones, and Juanita Jones-Scales and his brothers, Robert Jones, and Tommy Lee Jones. His memory will also be cherished by his sister-in-law, Tamara Morris; brothers-in-law, Frederick Scales and Anthony Hamilton; his aunt, Evangelist Clara Lumpin; and his uncle, Elder Henry Henderson, Sr. He was preceded in death by his aunts, Dorothy Jean Henderson, Ernestine Henderson, Mildred Henderson, and Annie Clyde Adkins, as well as his uncle, Deacon Arthur Lumpkin, Jr. Howard also leaves behind his foster siblings, Barbara Williams, Norma Chapman and Robert Jeanotte; his niece, Reverend Joy Barrett-Howard, Executive Pastor of Sweet Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church; twenty-eight grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A devout Christian, Howard served the Lord with all of his heart. He found great joy in the simple pleasures of life: listening to music and the radio, cheering for the New York Giants, and reading the newspaper daily. Above all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be missed tremendously by the many family members and friends who loved him dearly.
