Gregory Johnson was born March 1, 1963, in Albany, New York. He went to Albany Public Schools.
He is survived by three daughters Ashanta Johnson, Sha-Tika Johnson and Emmy Hemingway-Johnson: seven granddaughters Taylor Mickles, Ahjie and Joella Jackson, J’Niyah Hemingway, Diarie and lyric Hernandez, Lauryn Oliver and one grandson LaSean Johnson. His loving mother Cleara Johnson, three brothers Daniel, Anthony and Napoleon (Amy) Johnson; three sisters Pearl (Maurice) Hunter, Dorothy Grimes and Letha Johnson. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his biological mother Dollie Carver, and his father Kennie Johnson; three brothers Derome, Artis and Christopher; two sisters Josephine and Kimberly; Uncle Willie P. Johnson and Aunt Almer Lee Johnson.
Greg was very loving to his family and friends. He enjoyed sports, writing and reading the Bible. He was a self-employed carpenter and maintenance man for many years and an involved member of his community.
