Floyd Dewitt Obituary

Brother Floyd Wayne Dewitt, son of the late Covel and Louella Dewitt, was born July 26, 1952. He departed this life on Saturday May 7, 2022, at Samaritan Hospital in Troy, NY after a long illness.
Bro. Dewitt was active member of The True Witness Apostolic Faith Church where he was baptized in the Name Of Jesus Christ for the Remission of Sins.
 
Brother Dewitt attended Columbus County School District and graduated from Westside High School. He Joined the United States Marine Corp November 17, 1972, where he served six years of active duty. Upon leaving the military, he worked at the Albany V.A. Stratton Medical Center and later took a job at the Sealy Mattress Company from where he retired and joined the Retirement Community.
 
Brother Dewitt leaves to cherish is memory seven children Edwin B. Dollette, Loria N. Mims, Quincy Alston, Vonyetta and Quieasha Dewitt. Stepson Shawn Arnold, one deceased son Floyd Wayne Dewitt Jr. 15 Grandchildren, 3 Great grandchildren, 4 Sisters, Janie Thompson, Pansy Robinson, Evangelist Euthia Benson, Barbara Dewitt. 3 Brothers William Dewitt, Chester (Teresa) Dewitt, and Jerry (Dorothy) Dewitt. 1 Uncle Mr. Joseph Barr of Denver Colorado. 7 siblings preceded him to the Grave.
