On Sunday, Jan 3, 2021, at the age of 63, Donald L. Flood, loving son of the late Johnny (Red) Flood and Irene Palmer passed away peacefully at his home in Albany, New York. Donald was born on Aug 5, 1957 in Albany, New York. He grew up with his three sisters and two brothers. Donald attended Albany High where he was a star basketball player for his school's team. After High School he moved to California where he worked as a laborer. Donald would then move back to Albany to become a laborer for the City of Albany. He would later go on to discover his passion for cooking and became a chef in Albany and Vermont until retiring. Donald was known for his larger than life personality and was loved dearly by family and friends. For someone whose presence commanded attention in a room, he actually enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as cooking, fishing and even collecting Marvel comics. Donald is survived by his three siblings Rosemary Johnson, Luella Caesar and Jeffrey Flood. His five children Lateka Flood, Corey Flood and Chris Flood of Albany, NY Sha'La Flood of Tracy,CA and Falona Flood of Atlanta,GA.Also, his seven grandchildren Nakiya, Hadiya, Aniyah, Orian, Ay'den, Kanari, and Amir.Donald is Predeceased by his parents Johnny Flood and Irene Palmer, his son Koshan Brown and siblings Edith Daniels and Henry Flood.
