Delila Carraway

Carraway, Delila died September 21, 2021, Delila was born in Albany NY on 9/12/1931 to the late Nelson and Lela Mae Carraway. She graduated from Albany High School in June 1951. After high school, she joined the Women’s Army Corp (WAC) in December 1951. She was discharged from WAC in December 1953. She worked at several different jobs until she went to work for the New York Telephone Company, she started work there in June 1969. She retired from NYNEX telephone company in April 1995, after 25 ½ years of service. Delila was the beloved mother to Lisa J Johnson (John) and Linda S. Hunter. Sister to John, Mildred, Joe, William Carraway, Marjorie Robinson, and the late Eleanor M. Johnson, James C. Carraway, and Edward Carraway. Loving grandmother to Travis, Krystle, and Brian Murray, Joshua Johnson, and Great Grandmother to Jalen Murray. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
