On March 31, 2025, the death angel was dispatched to St Peter's Hospital Cardiac Vascular Floor from this life to everlasting eternal life our husband, father, brother, friend and saint. Another soldier was released from life's battlefield his work here was finished and his mansion was secured with the Father. What a loss to us, but what a beautiful life completed with distinction.
Deacon Jessie J. Terrell, Sr. was born September 15, 1941 in Shubuta, Mississippi to the late Ruby Lee Jackson-Terrell and the late Jack Terrell. He grew up and attended school in Wayne County Mississippi and Albany Public School, Albany, NY.
Deacon Terrell worked at various jobs, he was employed at Hudson Scrap, Labor with Laborers Local Union 190 over 40 plus years, Keith Lezatte Utility Services.
Deacon Terrell was an avid fisherman, hunter and a helper to whom ever needed a helping hand. Deacon Terrell helped.
In 2004 Deacon Terrell joined Revelation Church of God In Christ under the leadership, founder Pastor Leo Trotter. He served the pastor and the church well. Deacon Terrell loved to work, he did it gracefully. He was one of the helping hands that built the current building where Revelation Church of God In Christ stands today. He studied the word of God faithfully, attended Sunday School ready to hear the teaching about the Savior whom he loved.
In 1966, Deacon Terrell met Thelma L. Trotter, they got married on August 12, 1972 blessed to have 52 years, in this union two sons. Marvin Terrell and Tony Bernard Terrell.
Deacon Terrell leaves to cherish his loving devoted wife Thelma L Terrell, 5 children James Edward McDonald, (Hazel) Marvin Terrell, Sr., Tony Bernard Terrell, Sr.,(Joscelyn) Robin King and Jessie Terrell, Jr. 15 grand children, 32 great grand children, 8 great great grandchildren, 10 God children. 2 brothers, Elder Walter James Terrell (Bessie), Levon Terrell (Virginia), Brother-in-laws David Cooley (Diane), L.Z. Cooley (Perlie), Billy Ray Cooley (Mary), Sisters-in-law Ora Mae Trotter, Freddie Mae Trotter, Hazel Terrell, Wanda Wilson. Very dear friends Willie James Thomas, Patrick Walter, Carol Young and former employer Keith Lezatte.
He also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and the Revelation Church COGIC Family
He was preceded in death by his parents, (Siblings) James C Terrell, Jack Terrell, Jr., Willie Terrell, Emmett R Terrell, Andrew W Terrell, Mildred Carolyn Terrell, Kathleen Walton, Katherine McDonald and Mary Arrington.
