Dasie L. Melton departed this life July 11, 2021 at Albany Medical Center with her loving family by her side. Dasie was born May 9, 1934 to the late Luther and Lessie Paige. Dasie met and married the late Benjamin F. Melton, Sr. To this union seven childlren were born, one loving daughter and six sons. She was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and sang with the Adult Choir. She was also on the Trustee Board and Secretary for the Adult Choir.
During her employment, she held several positions with Albany Medical Center and the NYS Office of General Service until her retirement. She had done volunteer work in the Community Concession Stand of the Arbor Hill Little League.
She loved to travel with her daughter and other family members. She was our angel. She was a mother to everyone who came in contact with her.
She was predeceased by her parents, Luther and Lessie Paige, her husband, Benjamin Melton, Sr., one son, Felix Melton, two brothers, William and Oscar Paige.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted and loving only daughter, Beverly (Ray) Turman, five sons, Danny (Trish) Melton, Frederick (Zader) Melton, Jeffery (Gemleta) Melton, Benjamin Melton, Jr., Kelvin (Ingrid) Melton. Twenty-three grandchilden, thirty-two great grandchildren, and one god-son, Marcus Paige and adopted granddaughter, Miquel Joseph, three sisters, Sadie Dean, Maggie Paige of Albany, NY, Alzona Smith of Roanoke, AL, one brother, Leon (Chris) Paige of Albany, NY, one brother-in-law, Arthur (Beatrice) Melton of Abany, NY, three sisters-in-law, Marie (Marion) Jones, of Stockton, CA, Janie Patterson of San Diego, CA, Karen Paige of Five Point, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted daughters and sons, other family and friends and Special Friends, Katherine Ross and Beatrice Melton.
She will be greatly missed by all. Take your rest our angel. "We Love You". Keep watching over us.
