Carol Clark Obituary

IN LOVING MEMORY OF CAROL CLARK

As the sun rises, and the sun sets, and another day in this life ends, another days begins…..

Another day has begun on the life of our beloved family member, friend, confidant, co-worker, acquaintance, Ms. Carol Clark…

Carol, peacefully passed away at her home at the beautiful age of  67.  Carol was the daughter of her Parents, Bernice Washington and Robert Clark.

Carol, was also the loving mother of her daughter, Chivonne Sharell Clark, and her son, James Michael Clark. She was also the proud grandmother of her granddaughter, Victoria Rachel Clark.  She was also the beloved Sister, of Celia Clark, beloved Sister to her three brothers, Steven Clark, Christopher Clark and Calvert Clark.

She was the proud Auntie, of her nieces, Christen Clark and Jaeda Clark, her nephew, Raymond Young, Calvert Sincere Clark, and her great nephew, Liam Hinds. She also leaves her Auntie, Geneiva Morrsiett, her Uncle James David Washington, and her cousins, Alicia Davis, Cynthia Morrsiett, Michelle Davis and Christopher Morrsiett.

Carol grew up in Jamaica, Queens, New York, where she made so many friends.  She grew up in a large household, and managed to remain the “Queen” of the castle.  She had a few nicknames, but “Queen” and

“Corky” still stand out.  To this day, all of the friends she made growing up remain her friends to this day, and know her by her nicknames also!  Carol also loved her baseball, she was a big New York Yankees fan.  She especially loved Derek Jeter…   She would go to the games at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, and cheer on her favorite team.  Just don’t mess with Derek Jeter!!!

As her friends and extended family are very sad to hear of her passing, her family is more than devastated by our loss!  Carol was the oldest of her mother’s five children, and she will remain the Queen!  She moved her life to Albany, New York years ago, and found a new way of life for herself, that she found comfortable, but always would watch her Yankees on television.

As we mourn her passing, and now that she is continuing on her journey, we have nothing but our memories of her, and her love of family, and how she loved her children, and would do anything for them.  Remembering what a good friend and confidant she  was, as you could always rely on her to be there for you.  We also remember how she loved to host cook outs and loved to cook for everyone, just like her Mom.  She would always make more than enough food, so everybody could take home a “doggy bag”.  She was a generous soul!

Her big smile, the close friendships that she maintained since she was a young child.  How she and her Sister would go everywhere together when they were younger, and always stayed close no matter what the weather.  Carol loved to take her walks and go to the grocery store.  She loved to socialize, to see and be seen. She loved to party and dance, dress up and put on her jewelry and her “red” lipstick, just like her Mom.  She had a nurturing side also. She was an animal lover. She had a dog named Frieda, who she adored.  Frieda would listen for her footsteps coming up the block after Carol was on her way home, after she had a long day at work, and started to do a tap dance around the floor.  Frieda knew Carol

would be home soon, and was doing her happy dance.  She brought joy to all she came in touch with.  Carol loved her career that she had made for herself, and was a dedicated and respected employee.  Work and her dedication to her family and her career are what kept her going until her untimely passing…..

Carol will permanently remain in our hearts, and  in our thoughts forever. We love you Mom, Sister, Grandma, Friend, Co-Worker, Carol Clark. You will never be forgotten……
