Byron James Wright (Rondu )
Byron James Wright (Rondu) was born January 19th, 1959, to the late Melvin James Wright and Barbara Ann Hill Gailliard. On Wednesday August 25th, 2021 after a battle with cancer God wrapped his arms around Byron and carried him to his heavenly home.
Byron was educated in the Albany Public School System where he obtained his GED. As a child, Byron and his siblings grew up in the Walls Temple Church, in Albany NY under the late Reverend Dr. Donald Holness
After obtaining his GED, Byron worked as a laborer for many years. He had a love of hunting and fishing with his father. Byron also had a passion for the game of Basketball. Byron was fondly known as having one of the best stop and pop jump shots in the Albany area. Byron had a love of classic cars especially his ’98 Oldsmobile. Byron enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Byron was the life of any party. He had a protective caring way with him especially when it came to his family. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him. Byron spent years as a caregiver to his Fiancée Crystal until her final days. Byron’s love for Crystal was endless.
Celebrating the life and legacy of Byron (Rondu) are his children; Rondell Stroman Sr.(Michelle) of Syracuse, Rahmir Wright, of South Carolina, Bilal Turner of Albany; Sister Sonja Wright of Albany; Brothers Roy Gailliard Sr of Syracuse, Glenn (Theresa) Gailliard Sr., Kevin Gailliard, Bruce (Yolanda) Wright, all of Albany; Brian Wright of Charlotte N.C., and Darryle Wright; sister in laws, Annette Gailliard, of Albany. Byron also leaves 2 Grand-Sons Rondell Stroman Jr., and Sha-King Stroman of Syracuse, 2 Grand-Daughters, Imanee Stroman of Syracuse, Autumn Turner of Albany, his God-Mother Mrs. Elsie Alexander of Albany, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who loved him. Byron was predeceased by his parents, Barbara Ann Gailliard, Melvin James and Mary Joyce Wright, his Fiancée Crystal Black, Sister Pamela Wright, Brothers, Gerald W. Gailliard., and George A Gailliard.
