Bernice Tanksley of Albany New York Was born on August 9, 1939, in McDuffie County Georgia, to the late Fannie L. Robinson and Irvin Lee.
Bernice was Educated in McDuffie Public School System On May 5, 1956, Bernice was Married to James W. Tanksley, and they had two sons Larry and Tony. Soon after they moved to Albany, New York and had a third son Donald.
Bernice was a mom and stay-at-home spouse until her three sons were school age. She was employed at St. Peters Hospital, Albany Medical Center Hospital, and the V. A. Medical Center Hospital where she retired after 30 years.
Bernice was a member of Walls Temple AME Zion Church, Bernice Song in the Temple Choir, serviced on the usher board, worked with the kitchen ministry and the Finance Committee.
Bernice enjoyed Bowling, Fishing, Cooking Traveling and Spoiling her grand and great- grandchildren.
Bernice was proceeded in death by her parents Fannie L. Robinson and Irvin Lee Two Brothers Curtis Lee and Rubin Robinson Jr. Three Sisters Eloise Taylor, Berta Mae Crowford and Viriginia Golat and one son Tony Tanksley.
She leaves to cherish her memories with two Son Larry Tanksley (Denise) of Stone Mountain Georgia, Donald Tanksley (Evelyn) of Albany New York, one Daughter in law Royce Tanksley of Atlanta Georgia three brothers Charles Robinson of Albany New York, Henry L. Robinson of Albany New York, and Jimmy Lee Jones (Lisa) of Charlotte North Caroline 8 grandchildren's 9 great grandchildren and three special Friends Debbie Bether, Jackie Carter and Cynthia Tanksley and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
