Benjamine Morton (Bennie) was born June 12, 1952 to the lat Pattie Lewis and Mickey Anthony, adopted by Ralph Morton in Albany, New York. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps at the age of 21 receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1973. He was employed at Albany Medical Center Hospital and the City of Albany. Bennie was known for his quick wits, his infectious smile and laughter and his kind and compassionate spirit. You could always sight Bennie walking or busing all over the streets of Albany. He will always remain in our hearts forever. He will be truly missed. Bennie was predeceased by his dedicated sisters, Diane Morton and Marilyn Anthony. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Denise Morton, three daughters, Lynell Wilkes, Patricia Foster and Shaquisha Ledbetter; three sons, Benjamin (Erin), Deshawn Morton and Amir Freeman; two stepdaughters, Myava, Kadessha Miller; one stepson, Dewitt Miller; two sisters, Patricia Davis and Regina Anthony and one brother, Anthony Goodridge; four sisters-in-law, Jackie Jackson, Karen, Dorothea and Cassandra Murphy; two brothers-in-law, William Bibbs and Jerry Murphy and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews and friends.
