Benadine N. Shealy

Benadine passed away peacefully at home on October 5, 2021 surrounded by her family. Benadine 94, was born in Semora, North Carolina to the late Joseph Faulkner and Maggie Lee Faulkner.  She was the youngest of nine children.  Benadine moved to Albany where she met and married Eugene Shealy. Three children were born of that union, Wayne (deceased), Rosalind and Dean. Benadine attended Alfred University earning a degree in Cosmetology. Benadine worked in claims at Blue Cross/Blue Shield and retired from the company.  She then opened her own beauty salon and operated it for several years. 

She is survived by her daughter Rosalind (Dannie) Chapman and son Dean Shealy, Granddaughters Alexis Bowen and Danielle Shealy, Great grandsons, Felton White, Anthony White, Milan Maggs and Julien Stewart.
