April Marie Randolph

April Marie Randolph, born 03/24/54 passed away peacefully on 09/09/2020. She was born in Poughkeepsie, NY to parents Helen Jackson Wood and William C. Wood (both deceased). She resided at Hudson Park Nursing home where she was a resident for the last six years. She deeply loved her children: Her son Sheldon L Randolph of Troy N.Y., his son Sheldon L. Randolph, Jr and her daughter Shakara M. Randolph of  Washington D.C., her two daughters, E'Nyjaih Fields and Emani Fields. She leaves behind siblings: William C. (Kim) Wood, Jr. of Troy, NY, Keith L. (Sandy) Wood, Sr. of Poughkeepsie, NY, daughters Victoria A. Wood of Zebulon, NC,  Glynis D. Wood of Portsmouth, VA, Tina Wood  Thomas of Poughkeepsie, NY, Tanya L. Wood-Hooper of Raleigh, NC, step-children Julia (Frances) Dancey of Enfield, NC, James Randolph of Poughkeepsie, NY, She is predeceased by siblings: Brent S. Randolph and Darryl D. Wood, Alfreda Jackson Satkins, Arthur Jackson, Jesse Randolph, and William Randolph. She had many nieces, nephews. She had many friends who loved her dearly. She leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

April attended Poughkeepsie High School. She was a laborer who once worked at IBM, in Fishkill, NY, Mesa Police Dept, Mesa, AZ, and was a supervisor at McDonald’s in Ravena, NY. In 2016, she got saved and was baptized at Metropolitan Baptist Church in Albany. She was a beautiful person who was a fun loving woman, who loved fiercely and was a loyal friend. She will be dearly missed.

Her memorial service is being held September 29^th, 12 Noon, at Garland Bros. Funeral Home on 75 Clinton Ave, Albany, NY 12210.
